Lunx v1.2.0

Latest stable

Released October 16, 2026

Production build options from Vite and Rsbuild, browser targets and polyfills, workers and dynamic imports, a federation runtime compatible with @module-federation, the React Compiler and RSC, and Storybook and Vitest on lunx's engine.

Bundling

FeatureTemplate-literal dynamic imports (import(`./locales/${lang}.js`)) are bundled, and ?worker / ?sharedworker / &url / &inline imports work in dev and builds
Featurebuild.target / cssTarget or browserslist: Oxc lowers JS syntax and LightningCSS lowers CSS; the default is Baseline widely available
Featurebuild.polyfill: 'entry' | 'usage': core-js polyfills for the build's targets
Featurebuild.legalComments (default 'linked'): license notices move to <chunk>.LICENSE.txt; lunx's JS is now smaller than Vite's, Rsbuild's, Rspack's, esbuild's, Parcel's and webpack's on the benchmark app
FeatureWebAssembly ESM imports: import { add } from './add.wasm'

Options for production apps

Featurebuild.manifest and ssrManifest for server-rendered backends; assetPrefix / renderBuiltUrl for CDNs; file name templates, external, drop, cssMinify, emptyOutDir, copyPublicDir, chunkSizeWarningLimit, prefetch
Featurehtml options in dev and builds: title, meta, favicon, preconnect, dnsPrefetch, tags, cspNonce
FeatureJavaScript API (build(), createServer()) and server.middlewareMode
Featurecache.remote shares compile results between machines (HTTP or S3)

Module federation

FeatureModule federation runtime as @module-federation/runtime's: registerRemotes, runtime plugins, shareStrategy, shared import: false, object remotes, and remote type hints (@mf-types.zip)

React and the Vite ecosystem

FeatureReact Compiler in dev and builds when babel-plugin-react-compiler is installed; React Server Components apps on @vitejs/plugin-rsc
Featurelunx exec <tool>: Storybook and Vitest run on lunx's engine instead of Vite
FeatureCSS code splitting, built-in SVG components, PWA and Electron support, type errors in the dev overlay

Performance

PerformanceAngular builds ahead of time with @angular/compiler-cli: the starter ships 31.7 kB gzip (ng build: 31.9 kB)
PerformanceFaster HMR, startup, cold builds and parallel component compilation

Security and fixes

SecurityDev server rejects other Host headers (DNS rebinding) and allows cross-origin reads from localhost only; server.allowedHosts and server.cors open it up
FixScaffolded projects install from npm (they depended on unpublished packages); 26 verified starters
FixBuild errors print without colour codes under NO_COLOR or when stderr is not a terminal
