What we support & where we are going

Support matrix for v1.2.0 and what comes next.

v1.2.0

USP (why teams pick Lunx)

  • One Rust engine: Rolldown bundles and Oxc compiles, for dev, build, libraries and meta-frameworks.
  • Module Federation built in: host/remote, shared singletons, webpack-compatible containers.
  • Security CLI: secrets, CVE/OSV, SBOM, SRI in the same tool.
  • Short config: framework / entry / port / federation; zero-config detection.

Roadmap

  1. Lint and format: Oxlint and Oxfmt behind lunx lint and lunx fmt.
  2. Test runner: DOM environment, coverage and snapshots in lunx test (Vitest already runs through lunx exec vitest).
  3. Bundled dev mode for apps with 10,000+ modules.
  4. Chunk import maps, so a change in one chunk keeps the other hashes stable.
  5. Legacy browsers: a nomodule build for browsers without ES modules.
  6. Monorepo task runner with a shared cache, and single-file executables.
  7. Next.js on lunx's engine: the largest remaining framework.
