Lunx v1.1.0
Released October 7, 2026
Meta-frameworks built by lunx's own engine (Rolldown + Oxc), module federation on the same engine, library mode, node/edge/SSR builds, and a build cache that skips unchanged builds.
Meta-frameworks on lunx's engine
FeatureSvelteKit, React Router, Remix, TanStack Start, Qwik City, Astro, Nuxt, SolidStart, VitePress, Waku, Marko Run and Analog are built by lunx: its plugin host runs their Vite plugins on Rolldown and Oxc, with no Vite, Rollup or vite-node code
FeatureRollup's JS API (used by Nitro) and vite-node's (used by React Router and Nuxt) are served by lunx's engine
FeatureNext.js, Docusaurus, Gatsby, RedwoodJS and Stencil run on their own CLIs, labelled as such; LUNX_PLUGIN_HOST=0 opts any framework out
FixA framework whose CLI is not installed falls back to lunx's built-in support instead of exiting
Module federation
FeatureremoteEntry.js is an ES module exporting the webpack 5 container API (init, get), with mf-manifest.json
FeatureWebpack-format share scope: singleton, requiredVersion, strictVersion, eager; each app's own copy is a lazy chunk downloaded only if the scope picks it
FeatureDev and built apps mix in either direction; editing a remote fast-refreshes it inside the host page with state kept
Library mode and server builds
Featurelunx build --lib: ES, CommonJS, UMD and IIFE outputs; dependencies and peers stay imports; Vue/Svelte compile; CSS extracted to style.css
Feature.d.ts via Oxc isolated declarations, tsc fallback; package.json main/module/types/exports checked against the output; --watch
Featureplatform: 'node' | 'edge' and preset: 'ssr' build on Rolldown; an SSR project without index.html gets only the server build
Performance
PerformanceBuild cache (.lunx/): unchanged projects skip the build (~150 ms vs ~700 ms on a 2,000-component app)
PerformancePer-file cache of framework compiler output: 1,000 Vue SFCs build in 0.7 s warm vs 3.5 s cold, byte-identical output
PerformanceRolldown + Oxc replace @swc/core, esbuild and acorn; the compiler loads on first use
PerformanceOSV vulnerability lookups no longer block builds (strict projects still wait)
PerformancePackage: 1.0 MB unpacked, Oxc-minified JS, public types only
Fixes and requirements
FixDev-server restart loop with the JS watcher next to a missing config file
FixDeterministic Vue scoped-style ids
FixLibrary .d.ts output through symlinked directories (macOS)
BreakingNode ^20.19.0 || >=22.12.0 (Rolldown's requirement)
